EVENT REPORT
In Celebration of the Nitori Ladies Golf Tournament
Early Autumn Diamond Golf Competition in Hakodate Onuma
Hokkaido Country Club
Quick Lesson by Pro Golfer Aya Ezawa
A lesson on approach shots and the short game was held at the 9th hole of Hokkaido Country Club (Prince Course). At first, a few participants who were struggling with their approach shots took the challenge as representatives. Afterwards, Pro Golfer Aya Ezawa approached each participant practicing individually and provided personalized advice.
Dinner
The event began with a greeting from Masayuki Asayama, General Manager of Hakodate Onuma Prince Hotel and Hokkaido Country Club. The meal was prepared by Kazuhiko Shimoi, Executive Chef of Seibu Prince Hotels & Resorts, with special arrangements of some of the dishes to be served at the pre-event dinner of the Nitori Ladies Golf Tournament, held from August 28 to 31, 2025, allowing participants to enjoy them ahead of time. At the draw to determine the starting times for the following day’s competition, Pro Golfer Aya Ezawa made a surprise appearance. Participants were seated with those who would be in the same group for the following day’s golf competition, allowing them to enjoy their meal while also networking and socializing.
Golf competition
Under clear skies, the competition kicked off with an opening declaration by Pro Golfer Aya Ezawa. During the competition, each group had the opportunity to enjoy three holes playing alongside Pro Golfer Aya Ezawa. Pro Golfer Aya Ezawa’s tee shots drew the attention of a large crowd. The exhilarating shots drew cheers and applause from the crowd. During the round, Pro Golfer Aya Ezawa gave feedback to participants putting into practice the advice from the previous day’s quick lesson, and players also had the chance to take commemorative photos, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Awards ceremony
A variety of luxurious prizes, including hotel stay vouchers, golf play tickets, and green fee vouchers, were prepared. The presenter was, of course, Pro Golfer Aya Ezawa. She handed out the prizes to each participant individually, and commemorative photos were also taken. In response to feedback received from participants at the previous day’s dinner, a “Team Award” was added at the last minute. The team that won the Team Award celebrated together, exchanging high-fives among the members. For the competition participation prize, we prepared commemorative markers from the Nitori Ladies Golf Tournament, personally signed by Pro Golfer Aya Ezawa, which each participant was able to take home.
